first day of "school" :)

Today was Matthew's first day at Mom's Morning Out @ the Presbyterian church in town. He'll go every Wednesday from 9-12 through May. Normally, it's probably not a big deal, but to us it is! Besides church each week and other random things Matthew is involved in, this is the closest thing to pre-school or daycare that he's ever done.

He was so excited to go this morning... wearing his backpack all around the house before it was time to leave! We are very blessed to have a child that is so easy going and eager to go anywhere and do just about anything that's new. {I only say this because it's easier on me that he is the way he is... Hudson will likely be completely different, but just as much of a blessing!} He was a breeze to leave, and we are so excited for him and all he is going to learn and do through MMO! We love the mission statement too, which is to "Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it" Proverbs 22:6

So, not to my surprise, MMO was a big hit. Matthew had a great time, and loved showing me his artwork and the snake he made and that it was all about the letter "A" today. We even got a sheet that said he was in a happy mood; that he had apples & nilla wafers for lunch; that he went potty {woohoo!! he's certainly potty trained, but also hard-headed and prefers to go when he is about to bust}; and that "he had a great day!"

{leaving the house... all ready to go!}

{so glad Gus could go with us this morning}
